Abortion

If YAHWEH gave us free will is he pro-choice or pro-life regarding abortion?
While this question may be obvious to some, a large majority of Christians and believers disagree on the issue of abortion. Some say the Bible does not speak of it, while others claim that everyone is free to do with their bodies as they see fit.
First and foremost, abortion was clearly condemned in early Christian writings. In The Didache or Teaching of YESHUA transmitted to the nations by the twelve apostles (a purely evangelical document of admirable simplicity, which was used by the early Church as an instruction guide in matters of faith and morality), YESHUA said in chapter 2 verse 1:
“you shall not murder a child, whether it be born or unborn.” |The Didache, chap 2:1|
We also find Biblical teaching that clearly attests to the fact that the embryo is a living soul inscribed in the Book of Life, and that God beholds it from conception when it is still a shapeless mass of cells.
Psalm 139:15-16 "My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all my days were written in Your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be" King James Bible 1611
Jeremiah 20:17 “because he didn’t kill me in the womb so that my mother might have been my grave, her womb eternally pregnant.”
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”
Although free will is granted to humans, the Bible declares that every soul belongs to YAHWEH, and whoever takes the life of an unborn child commits a crime.
Amos 1:13-14 “Thus says the LORD, “For three transgressions of the sons of Ammon and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead In order to enlarge their borders."
Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine”
The Bible also teaches that if an unborn child is accidentally killed, the one responsible for the death will be held accountable. If YAHWEH applies the law of talion on he who accidentally kills an unborn child, then he who kills willingly will receive a far more severe punishment.
Exodus 21:22-25 “If men who are fighting strike a pregnant woman and her child is born prematurely, but there is no further injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman’s husband demands and as the court allows. But if a serious injury results, then you must require a life for a life.”
According to an article in WebMD, a study was carried out in Norway in 2015. Eighty women who had undergone an abortion were followed for five years. Most of the women left the abortion clinic relieved that their problem was over and they could go on with their lives. However, it was later found that a week, a month or even years later, the abortion was associated with long-term psychological distress. A residual sadness or guilt lingered in the corner of their hearts and minds. It just will not go away.
It was also reported that following an abortion, many women have experienced a common occurrence called “fetal dreams”. These fetal dreams are constant and persistent. Those who work in the abortion industry have also cited these traumatic dreams of consciousness as the reason they gave up their jobs. In their dreams, they would endlessly see abandoned, lost children, or ones in particularly terrible circumstances, these children would sadly cry or ask why they were not allowed to live.
What if pregnancy is the product of rape?
This is an extremely traumatic and difficult situation for the victim. If abortion is the only option, it would be advisable for the believer to consider the following verse and entrust herself entirely to God:
Deuteronomy 24:16 “The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”
What if the child has a defect?
As Christians, we cannot contend with the Father's will.
Exodus 4:11 “And the LORD said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Or who makes the mute or the deaf, the sighted or the blind? Is it not I, the LORD?”
Isaiah 45:9-10 “Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker—one clay pot among many. Does the clay ask the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘He has no hands’? Woe to him who says to his father, ‘What have you begotten?’ or to his mother, ‘What have you brought forth?’”
May YAHWEH preserve you from the horrors of abortion. If the abortion has already been carried out, know that God is ready to forgive and erase this great sin through sincere repentance and prayer.
Psalm 32:5 “I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah".
