Why do people choose to worship Satan?

YAHWEH controls the entirety of His Creation. However, He has permitted Lucifer / Satan to temporarily control the earthly cosmic dimension allowing him to manipulate and materialize the elements using various supernatural phenomena.

2 Corinthians 4:4 "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God"
Ephesians 2:2 "in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience."
John 14:30 "I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me"
John 16:10-11 "I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned."

Satan knows that humans have the propensity to disobedience because of the ancestors Adam and Eve. He has studied, understood and learned to master human psychology. Although they claim that ELOHIM is not real external entity, but rather a concept that each person creates as a projection of their own personality or a benevolent and stabilizing energy in their lives; the very core of the satanic vision lies in the fact that they are disobedient and reject any submission to the Word of God. As such, a "true" satanist is fundamentally not an atheist. He must believe in the existence of a supreme deity or ELOHIM, because in order to affirm his allegiance to Satanism he must renounce the Almighty as part of his initiation ritual.

In the majority of cases, those who call themselves atheists are also adepts of Satanism, i.e. they are conscious of the existence of God but have rejected him. Karl Marx, the famous atheist and founder of Marxism, is a prime example. In his poem "The Player" (also entitled "The Fiddler"), Marx writes:

Thus these atheists you come across on the internet and challenge your faith to the hilt, are for the most part satanists under the cloak of atheism.

Tenets of Satanism

These are the seven Tenets of Satanism, according to the Satanic Church:

One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

In keeping with Satan's duplicity, the 9 Satanic statements below, which were published in the Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor Lavey (founder of the Satanic Church) and which summarize the mindset of Satanists, are at odds with the tenets of Satanism.

Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!
Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!
Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!
Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!
Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!
Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!
Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!
Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!
Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!

Hermes Trismegistus

The mantra of the satanic world that was first exposed in the emerald tablet of Hermes Trismegistus is: "What is below corresponds to what is above and what is above corresponds to what is below, to accomplish the miracles of the same unique thing."

*Hermes Trismegistus was a magician-teacher of the 2nd century A.D. He is the author of a series of sacred texts that constitute the basis of Hermeticism (esotericism, occultism, witchcraft). According to Hermes, the world created below is described as a reflection of God above. They are identical, but opposite. He taught that the universe is made up of physical and spiritual realms, and things that occur in one direction are also reflected in the other direction; what happens at one level of reality also occurs at all other levels.

This Hermetic mantra holds that Lucifer is the creator or grand architect of the universe, and Satan is merely the dark side of God. Hermes devotees are convinced that Satan and God are one and the same, and they too worship the true God, but submit instead to his dark side. For this reason, they do everything backwards: they read the Bible upside down, and do exactly the opposite of what it teaches. They talk and think backwards, do the opposite of everything that represents good, and aspire to do evil every day. Most of them are convinced that they have a higher intelligence than ordinary mortals, and they allow themselves to be indoctrinated by heretical teachings pretending to enlighten the mind with the aim of attaining the true self and enjoying physical existence to the utmost.

Isaiah 5:20-21 "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who turn darkness to light and light to darkness, who replace bitter with sweet and sweet with bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight!"

Their motivations and ideology

Those who choose Satan are motivated by the spirit of pride, domination and freedom from moral guilt. Satanists often aspire to wealth, fame, power, success, beauty and sexual freedom. They claim that their belief system is based solely on the worship of the self and your own capacity to attain your full potential in the pursuit of carnal and material pleasures. According to them, people should not be bound by a set of moral laws, but rather be able to legally do as they please, including wickedness. In other words, you should be allowed to indulge your darkest fantasies on a whim without having to worry about moral guilt or legal prosecution. In a deeper sense, this ideology is well-executed given that the legal systems in most jurisdictions of the world typically tends to protect criminals.

Note that most occultists consider themselves Luciferians, not Satanists. According to them, Lucifer is the divine entity but Satan is the carnal essence. They operate in the dark and deny any association or worship of an entity called Satan. Thus you will often hear them say things like, "Satan is not a reality, it's only the elevation or projection of oneself" or "Satan does not exist and is only a subjective reality of the higher self."

They all follow Aleister Crowley Thelema's principle of "Do what that wilt, shall be the whole of the law". They equate their refusal to obey the Word of God with independence and freedom. However, Aleister Crowley also contradicted his own doctrine by making the following statements on the basis that Lucifer and Satan are two sides of the same coin implying that Satan exist and it's an objective reality:

"But we cannot include this "Higher Self"; for the Angel is an actual Individual with his own Universe, exactly as man is; or, for the matter of that, a bluebottle. He is not a mere abstraction, a selection from, and exaltation of, one's own favorite qualities, as the "Higher Self" seems to be. The trouble is (I think) that the Hindu passion for analysis makes them philosophize any limited being out of existence. "For I believe that the Holy Guardian Angel is a Being of this order. He is something more than a man, possibly a being who has already passed through the stage of humanity, and his peculiarly intimate relationship with his client is that of friendship, of community, of brotherhood, or Fatherhood. Their doctrine

The Satanic doctrine teaches that hell will be a fantastic and extraordinary party, similar to a huge eternal orgy, where you'll have the most beautiful women and the most beautiful men, where you'll do drugs, get drunk, fornicate, listen to rock and rap music galore and freely indulge in your darkest and most horrible vices, for all eternity. Whereas heaven is a super-boring place where weak-minded Christians who cannot handle the dark, violent ecstasy of hell will go. Devotees are, for the most part, infatuated with the devil and deeply committed to their fantastic vision of hell. As a result, they have no fear of death or of the Abode of the Dead, and are even enthusiastic at the idea of going there. Hence, when they take your souls with them, they're convinced of doing you a great favor. If you try to discourage a Satanist by mentioning hell, he'll just laugh in your face.

Isaiah 57:3-4 "But come here, you sons of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes! Whom are you mocking? At whom do you snarl and stick out your tongue? Are you not children of transgression, offspring of deceit ?"

This satanic doctrine is contrary to that of the Bible, which teaches hell is a lonely place where your heavenly body will suffer intense pain and your conscience will be tormented by a deep feeling of guilt and regrets.

Ezekiel 26:20 "When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit."
Lamentations 3:28 "Let him sit alone in silence, for God has disciplined him."
Psalms 88:18 "You have removed my beloved and my friend; darkness is my closest companion."
Ezekiel 16:61 "Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed"
Job 20:24-25 "Though he flees from an iron weapon, a bronze-tipped arrow will pierce him. It is drawn out of his back, the gleaming point from his liver. Terrors come over him."

Satanists, sorcerers, and occultists communicate with each other through subliminal signs and symbols. They are frequently found in the world of fashion, the music and sports industry, governments, company logos, churches and places of worship. It is important to recognize these signs to avoid unconscious use or influence.

Deuteronomy 12:30-31 "Be careful not to be ensnared by their ways after they have been destroyed before you. Do not inquire about their gods, asking, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise. You must not worship the LORD your God in this way, because they practice for their gods every abomination which the LORD hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods."
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds."
